Set Free Monterey Bay (SFMB) is a local nonprofit dedicated to ending human trafficking and supporting survivors on the Central Coast. Founded in 2018 and survivor-led, our work focuses on prevention, awareness, and restoration—building a community where freedom and healing are possible for all.
Through education, survivor care, and community training, we aim to break cycles of exploitation and create lasting change.
What We Do
Prevention: Deliver trafficking prevention curriculum to middle and high school students.
Awareness: Equip educators, first responders, medical staff, and community leaders to identify and respond to trafficking.
Restoration: Provide long-term residential and outpatient programs for survivors, offering therapy, case management, classes, and spiritual support.
Impact
130+ survivors supported through residential and outpatient programs.
9,000+ local students educated on trafficking prevention.
6,200+ professionals trained in survivor-centered care.
