The event.

From 5pm to 7pm, our reception will offer complimentary charcuterie and wine, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests to mingle and learn about the restoration work being done with trafficking survivors. Attendees will enjoy connecting with the marketplace artisans, as well as Set Free Monterey Bay ambassadors, and fellow community members.

We will have a silent auction featuring Sugar Farms’ artisan pieces and generous contributions from local businesses. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on exclusive items while supporting efforts to combat human trafficking. Throughout the evening, we will host additional engaging presentations and activities, making a fun and interactive experience for all in attendance.

Our aim is to raise awareness and critical funds to empower survivors and prevent exploitation in our community. Together, let’s make a difference and stand against human trafficking at this meaningful fundraiser.

Proceeds from the Makers for Freedom fundraiser will be directed to Set Free Monterey Bay in support of the work they are doing to combat human trafficking and exploitation. Set Free Monterey Bay is an anti-trafficking organization established to assist adult women (ages 18 and over) sex trafficking survivors to find healing in a faith-based restoration home and to educate the Monterey Bay community about human trafficking.

Featured Artisans

Artisanal work often carries with it a narrative of skill, passion, and human connection, qualities that resonate deeply with survivors who are reclaiming their lives and identities. Moreover, artisan contributions help raise awareness in the community, bridging gaps in understanding and fostering a sense of solidarity. This collaborative effort not only supports survivors economically but also emotionally, reaffirming their worth and strength as they rebuild their lives. Thus, artisans' support is not just about the products they donate; it's about the profound impact of their empathy and advocacy in the journey towards healing and justice for survivors of trafficking.

Check out these amazing artisans who will be featured at the event! Additional artisans and vendors will appear online as we get closer to the event.
